Welcome to our latest catalogue, we trust you’ve had a great growing season & the weather has been kind to you!
In this years catalogue most seed varieties have been maintained with new inclusions. The garden products and books have been increased with some interesting new lines. New fruiting plants have been included in our Live Plant Section with guava white alahbad and well established green tea plants to name a few.

We hope the drought hasn’t effected people too adversly and that gardeners and farmers have received some good rains in recent times. At Greenpatch we have had good rainfall with many varieties being produced and seed harvesting finishing in June.

Greenpatch was established in 1993 with a strong emphasis on producing quality, organically grown seeds and creating our own resource base of non-hybrid Heritage varieties. Much work has been carried out over the years in the development of seed growing techniques and quality control. Greenpatch is OGA Certified No 760a.

A combination of 190 varieties of vegetables, herbs and flowers have been grown at Greenpatch during the last 12 months for seed harvesting alone. A big effort on our part. This provides consumers with a good alternative to large seed companies and multinationals.

“Heritage varieties”

The majority of varieties listed are Heritage varieties, having been grown and established in Australia for over 40 years. We do not import seed and all seed is produced in Australia. Much care and committment has been taken with seed production & quality. We produce over 400 varieties of seeds and useful plants. Our farm is used for the production of seeds. The balance comes from a selection of dedicated growers.

Older varieties of seeds are special. They have characteristics of good flavour, higher nutritional value, strong genetic make-up, longer harvesting periods and maintain Bio-diversity, and of course you can save your own seed for next year’s crop.
